Airtel & Aircel Likely To Lauch iPhone 4 in India in Coming Months

According to the sources Bharti Airtel, India’s leading telecom operator and Aircel announces that they would likely to launch iPhone 4 in India in coming months. But exact date was not specified by both companies. Of course they said it 1 year earlier when Apple announced iPhone 4.

The worst thing is while iPhone 5 is coming in months to International market, Indian carriers are still bringing iPhone 4 to the local market. I have already lost hopes and interest to buy iPhone4. At least i hope they will bring iPhone 5 sooner in India.

Airtel Announced Launch Date for iPhone 4 in India

Airtel Vodafone India iPhone 4

Its Official… ‘Airtel’ India’s leading GSM network service made an official announcement that it is planning to get iPhone 4 to India by the end of September-October.But exact launch date not yet known.

Besides this, ‘Vodafone’ who is selling iPhone since 2008 along with Airtel already made an official statement that it is bringing iPhone 4 to India in upcoming months.

As we already knew that Apple made announcement on iPhone 4 launch that its is going to launch iPhone 4 in 88 countries by the end of September. And now Bharti Airtel CEO Sanjay Kapoor says “We are working with Apple. Hopefully, we will launch it in the September-October timeframe”. It seems we can confirm iPhone 4 will be in India by the end of October 2010.

Airtel and Vodafone, both are already selling locked versions of iPhone 3GS for Rs. 35,500 (16GB version) and Rs. 41,000 (32GB version). According to sources iPhone 4 will also costs same as iPhone 3GS.

iPhone 4 Won’t be Coming to India in September

I know its bad news for those guys who are desperately waiting for ‘iPhone 4′ official release in India.

It’s clear Vodafone made a statement that it is going to bring iPhone 4 to India in coming months. So everyone thinking of it will be going to release in September (based on Apple’s statement on 88 countries roll out by September) .

But according to the reliable sources ‘iPhone 4′ won’t be coming to India until 5-6months (may took longer).

Reliance iStore (Official Apple Store in India) people also told they won’t even service those iPhone 4′s (even officially unlocked versions from UK) which are from gray markets.

So i am going to buy an iPhone 3GS for the moment (as i don’t have an iPhone yet).You know guys..waiting is painful especially in case of iPhone.
