iPhone 4 Tops 2010 eBay’s ‘Most Sold Items’ List

Good news! our most beloved gadget ‘iPhone 4′ got another crown, which got 1st place on eBay’s ‘Most Purchased/Shopped Items’ List for 2010 with 1,634,674 units sold. While iPad gets 5th with 621,399 units sold in 2010. ebay iphone4 ipad

It is the first time that a tech gadget gets 1st place on eBay’s ‘Most Sold Items’ list.

Apple Officially Selling Refurbished iPads At $100 Discount

Apple usually replaces iPods, iPhones and iPads if the user gets any major problem (like over heating, battery issues, display issues…) with that device. Apple then thoroughly checks the device and replaces if any parts are malfunctioning. Those repaired devices are called Refurbished iPods/iPhones/iPads.

Apple now officially selling refurbished iPads at $100 discount in their official store. Of course its a special limited time offer. And this $100 discount avails only on Wi-Fi iPads (32GB and 64GB models) while Refurbished iPad 3G’s are getting $50 discount.

Here are the prices of Refurbished iPads :

  • Refurbished iPad, 16GB Wi-Fi  : $429.00 ($70 saving)
  • Refurbished iPad, 64GB Wi-Fi : $599.00 ($100 saving)
  • Refurbished iPad, 16GB Wi-Fi + 3G : $579.00 ($50 saving)
  • Refurbished iPad, 32GB Wi-Fi + 3G : $679.00 ($50 saving)
  • Refurbished iPad, 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G  : $779.00 ($50 saving)

Apple clearly states all Apple refurbished iPads comes with a 1-year warranty and all refurbished iPad models also include a brand new battery and outer shell.

‘iPad’ is the Most Desirable Gadget for 6-12 Kids in US – According to a Survey

According to a recent nielsen survey, ‘iPad’ is the most desirable gadget for kids of ages 6-12 in US for this holiday season.

Nelson’s company recently conducted a survey on about ‘Gadget you wish to buy in next 6 months’ from kids of 6-12 as well as 13+ ages.

Interestingly outcome of the survey states that 31% of the 6-12 kids are more interested in buying an ‘iPad’ (in coming 6 months) leaving Computer in 2nd, iPod touch in 3rd places. Of course iPod Touch outpaces the gamers favorites Nintendo DS and Sony PlayStation Portable. While Microsoft Xbox 360 and E-readers at the bottom of their choices.

How to Enable ‘Find my iPhone’ on iOS 4.2 for iPhone 4,iPod Touch 4G & iPad

With iOS 4.2 update Apple gave away its ‘Find my iPhone’ service which was a paid mobile me service earlier. But with this update ‘Find my iPhone’ service is only available for users of iPhone 4, iPod Touch (4G) and iPad.

Though iOS 4.2 update released for iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, they will not get this service.

Features of ‘Find my iPhone’ Service :

  • Locate your iPhone or iPad on a map
  • Display a message and optionally play a sound for two minutes at full volume (even if your device is set to silent)
  • Remotely set a passcode lock on your device, or lock it using your existing passcode
  • Remotely wipe your device to permanently erase all of your personal data

This is a simple tip for beginners/newbies to iOS devices. The following tutorial will guide you on how to take screen-shots on iOS devices like iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad.

  1. Hold both home button & lock button at a time for a second.
  2. If you see a flash on screen, That’s it. You have captured the screen-shot of your current screen.
  3. The screen-shot will be automatically saved to you Camera Roll in Photos (in PNG format)
  4. This trick will works everywhere (like home screen, browsing, watching video..)
