Solution for “iTunes could not connect to this iPhone (0xE8000065)” iTunes Error

iPhone iTunes Error

Most of the iPhone users may familiar with the most annoying iTunes error “iTunes could not connect to this iPhone because an unknown error occurred (0xE8000065)”.

I also faced that problem. So i did  a couple of experiments on it. Finally figured out why this error is occurring.

I don’t know whether i was right or wrong. But itunes have some compatibility issues with Anti-Virus software’s (includes firewall).

Because whenever i faced the error ..i am simply opting pause protection in my anti-virus software (Kaspersky Internet Security) . Then itunes detecting my iPhone as soon as i re-opened the iTunes.

Two  simple solutions i figured out for this problem :

  1. If you see this error simply close iTunes software (No need to re-connect the iPhone) pause the protection in your anti-virus/disable Firewall temporarily. Then re-open the itunes (see your self that your iPhone connected now)…
  2. The above method will works for sure. In case if it don’t worked. You need to “Hold Power Button & Home Button simultaneously untill you see the Apple Logo.
Note : Do this method keeping the iTunes open

At least one solution should definitely works. Feel free to ask me for more help.

iOS4 Draining the iPhone 3GS Battery Much Faster, Tips to Improve!

From 3 days i am testing the new iOS4 on iPhone 3GS. It seems the OS itself killing the battery life on phone. Other than that phone is working great.

I mean the phone  playing videos up to 7-8hrs (or) audio upto 25+hrs in a single full battery charge. But the phone loosing the 10% of battery for every 8hrs in standby mode (if there are any apps running background like GPS, Safari…)

The phone especially loosing the battery while using any app from default (SMS, Safari, GPS, Camera..) to 3rd party (Games & Apps)….

And i tested iPhone 3GS one night with out having apps running in background (by emptying the multitasking bar) .Impressive! the phone just lost 6% of battery in 8hrs.

I think i am not only the victim of iOS4, it seems 70-80% of the people upgraded to iOS4 are facing this problem. Just take a look into Apple iPhone 3GS Discussion Forum . See yourself the victims of iOS4.

Here are tips to improve your iPhone 3GS (running iOS 4) battery life :

  • Do a full restore from iTunes (if you had upgraded from iOS 3)
  • Turn off Airplane Mode
  • Turn off Bluetooth
  • Turn off Push notifications
  • Limit the use of GPS & Internet
  • Turn-off Wi-Fi
  • Better to kill apps running in background frequently
  • Turf off your phone ………….. (just kidding,…)

There is nothing we can do other than following the the above tips until apple figure out the problem and release a fix in the upcoming update (iOS 4.1/4.01).
