Report : 25% of iPad buyers are First-time Apple owners

25% of iPad buyers are First-time Apple owners according to report from NPD, a consumer market research firm based on an online survey that took input from more than 3000 consumers which revealed some more interesting facts, which are….

  • 37 million United States households now own Apple products
  • 69 percent of those consumers own iPods
  • one-in-five Apple owner households has one iPad i.e nearly equivalent to the number that own an Apple computer

And some more iPad facts revealed by Apple’s CEO Tim Cook during Apple’s Q2 2012 conference call,

  • Apple sold 67 million iPad as of now in just 2 years
  • which took Apple 24 years to sell that many Macs
  • and three years to sell that many iPhones

Direct Download Links For iOS5 (iPhone, iPod Touch & iPad)

If are getting problems like errors and slow downloading while updating your idevice to iOS 5 using iTunes then you have to look for the alternative.

Simple way to update your idevice to iOS 5 is download the firmware directly for the Apple server without the help of your freaking iTunes and then update your device with the help of the iTunes.

Step 1 : Download the required iOS 5 from the following links

Step 2 : Open iTunes > Hold Shift and Click Update > It will prompt you to look for a .ipsw (iPod/iPhone Software) which we have already downloaded, Select it.

Done!

If you still get that 3002 error, then its not your fault. The problem lies at Apple server as millions of people trying to update their iDevices. So keep trying the Step 2 until you succeed. Enjoy iOS 5 :)

The iPhone track the head of the user with the front facing camera in order to create a glasses-free monocular 3D display. Such spatially-aware mobile display enables to improve the possibilities of interaction. It does not use the accelerometers and relies only on the front camera.

This impressive work done by Jeremie Francone and Laurence Nigay of the EHCI Research group which is inspired from the work of Johnny Lee’s (Head Tracking for Desktop VR Displays using the WiiRemote)

Images from China Shows Prototype iPhone 5 with 3.7 inch Touchscreen

Recently a China blog M.I.C Gadget shared some images claiming them as photos of upcoming ‘White iPhone 4S’ or ‘iPhone 5′ . According to the source the new iPhone prototype has larger touch screen display roughly around 3.7-inch and also has same proximity sensor as iPhone 4.
